A Personal Note to Family Solicitors

As a family solicitor, you'll know that divorce is rarely just a legal process.

Your clients come to you for legal expertise, but they often arrive carrying far more than legal questions. They may be overwhelmed, frightened, exhausted, struggling to make decisions, or simply trying to keep life functioning whilst everything around them feels uncertain.

I know that many family solicitors find themselves supporting clients through emotional and practical challenges that sit outside the scope of legal advice. Whilst those conversations are often an important part of building trust, they can also place considerable demands on your time.

This is where divorce coaching can help.

As a certified divorce coach, I work alongside the legal process, providing a confidential space where clients can think clearly, regain confidence, and navigate the personal aspects of separation.

My role is not to advise clients on what decisions they should make. Coaching is a non-directive process. Instead, I help clients explore their options, understand what matters most to them, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How I Can Support Your Clients

Clients often come to coaching when they are:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by the divorce process

  • Struggling to make decisions

  • Managing stress, uncertainty, or change

  • Preparing for difficult conversations

  • Balancing professional, parenting, and personal responsibilities

  • Trying to rebuild confidence and create a vision for life beyond divorce

When clients have a dedicated space to process their thoughts and emotions, they are often better able to engage with legal advice and make considered decisions throughout the process.

How I Work

I believe every client's situation is unique.

My coaching approach is calm, compassionate, and practical. I create a space where clients can pause, reflect, and focus on what they need in order to move forward.

I do not provide legal advice, financial advice, therapy, or mediation. My role is to complement the work of other professionals, ensuring clients receive the right support from the right person at the right time.

Building Professional Relationships

I am always happy to have an informal conversation with family solicitors who would like to learn more about divorce coaching and how it may benefit their clients.

Referrals are built on trust, and I believe that relationship starts with a conversation.

If you'd like to arrange a virtual coffee or simply find out more about how I work, I'd be delighted to hear from you.

Warm regards,

Sallie Haydock
